The walled city area is located in the northern part of Jaipur, and is the commercial and trading hub. The walled city is also the historic core of the city, and has a large number of commercial establishments that are engaged in specialised activities and trade in speciality products. The area is home to a number of important tourist locations and attracts a large number of tourists to the area. In addition, the area has a number of important public amenities that attract a large number of visitors every day, for variety of purposes.

The project influence area comprises of three major arteries of the walled city area. It includes Kishanpole Bazar (from Ajmeri Gate to Choti Chaupar), Chaura Rasta (from New Gate to Tripoliya Gate), Johri Bazar (from Sanganeri Gate to Bari Chaupar), Tripoliya Bazar (from Choti Chaupar to Bari Chaupar), and M.I. Road (between Sanganeri Gate to Ajmeri Gate).

JDA intends to develop a state of the art parking facility at Ram Niwas Garden Jaipur. The project will involve development of a parking infrastructure with public facility and underground subway area.
