INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE

  Project Description

Government of India has proposed setting up of an International Convention cum Exhibition Centre in Jaipur. The project would be developed on a public-private partnership basis.

The private sector is expected to play a lead role in the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the facility. Government of India and Government of Rajasthan would part fund the capital costs of the project through Viability Gap Funding and provide all necessary clearances including allocation of suitable land for the project.

  PDCOR's Scope of Work

The project is proposed to be implemented through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model where the developers would enter into a Development / Concession Agreement with the State Government to jointly design, develop, finance, operate and maintain the Project Facilities over a predetermined concession period. It is envisaged that the ICC, apart from Convention & Exhibition Center (C&EC) facilities, will include hotels, F&B and retail / entertainment space.

A detailed feasibility study has been conducted to ascertain (a) technical viability (b) financial & economical viability of the project. A suitable framework for private sector participation would also be evolved for implementation of the project on PPP format.
